Mesh WiFi vs Wired Access Points

Mesh WiFi is best for medium sized homes where cabling is not practical. It provides good coverage with minimal installation work and is a significant upgrade over extenders.

Wired access points are best for larger properties, homes with thick walls, or situations where maximum performance is needed. Each access point receives a full speed connection via Ethernet cable, so there is no speed loss regardless of how many access points you add.
